G2 win for AUNT PEARL in Jessamine Stakes at Keeneland

Two-year-old AUNT PEARL gave a stellar performance in last night's $150,000 Jessamine Stakes at Keeneland, which earned her an entry into the Juvenile Filies Turf at this year's Breeders' Cup World Championships in the US. The daughter of LOPE DE VEGA was the domineering horse in the G2 challenge for fillies run over 1770m and won confidently by four lengths. Florent Geroux was in the saddle for trainer Brad Cox and an owner syndicate around Michael Dubb. With a start in the Juvenile Fillies Turf, AUNT PEARL has the chance to become the second winner for her sire whose progeny NEWSPAPEROFRECORD won this race in 2018.
