LOPE DE VEGA progeny TOP at Tattersalls October Yearling Sale

Red hot sire LOPE DE VEGA's 2018 crop has been making quite the impression on the racecourses in Europe and beyond, thus shining a bright light on the obvious procociousness the son of Shamardal is passing on to his progeny. Hence, that LOPE DE VEGA yearlings were in great demand at this year's Tattersalls's October Yearling Sale seems only logical. The auction sale proved a full success for the sire with his progeny selling for an average of 206,1000 guineas and generating a combined 9.275 million guineas. The top seller for LOPE DE VEGA fell with Lot 320 in Book 1, a colt out of Listed winner Moi Meme, who went to Godolphin for 900,000 guineas. Book 1 also saw David Redvers Bloodstock pay 825,000 guineas for Lot 460, a LOPE DE VEGA colt whose third dam produced High Chaparral. Godolphin also acquired Lot 945 of Book 2 consigned by Newsells Park. The hammer fell at 675,000 guineas for the stunning grey colt, who turned out to be the top price of Book 2.
